What is required to be a life insurance agent?
The things you will need to become a life insurance agent is a state license, which intel's taking a pre-licensing course, passing a state exam, applying for a state license.
What are the costs associated with being a life insurance agent?
There are not any costs for joining us, however you do have expenses to keep your business running. There will be cost for CRM, dialer, FE quote tool, E&O insurance.
The biggest cost is leads, these can range from $2-$20 depending on your liking. Most agents spend between $750-$1000 a week, but there are lead options as low as $200 a week.
How likely am I to be successful?
This really depends on you, some people get their license and never start, some buy leads then never call them, crazy, right?
Hawk Insurance agency has the tools and training in place to ensure your success in this industry. As long as you follow the training/mentorship you will be in the best possible position to succeed. We will train you with every tool & knowledge we have, however we cannot pick up the phone and dial your clients for you.
What to expect after I get my license?
After getting your licensing you will go through on-boarding which is a training that gets you prepared for the phones. You will be doing the training while waiting for your contracts/appointments to come back from the carriers. Once you're comfortable with our process and the carriers give you the good to go, it will be crunch time.
What if I can not get a release from my current IMO?
We understand this can be frustrating, there is a solution. We can get you contracted with other carriers in the meantime till your 6 month period is up. If you are coming from an IMO that does not focus on final expense insurance, this shouldn't be a problem due to the fact that we more than likely have a different carrier line up.
Do we release agents from our agency?
We understand that getting a release can be a pain in the butt, however we have a no obligations release policy. As long as you have no current debt we will release you no problem.
